ACCESS Card Policies
Your privacy is very important to the Library. No personal information will
be disclosed to any third party, except when required by law.
Lost or missing ACCESS cards should be reported to the ACCESS desk or by
email to rlaccess@nypl.org. A replacement
fee, $10.00, may be charged for a new card.
The ACCESS card is valid in The New York Public Library Branch Libraries,
offering borrowing privileges and access to selected databases and indexes
online.
Collection Use Policies
Consult CATNYP, the online catalog,
to search the collections and determine the availability of specific items,
including any special restrictions.
To request materials, researchers will need to present
an ACCESS card with a call slip. Researchers wishing to use items held
in Special Collections, requiring appointments, or permissions will need to
hold
an ACCESS card.
ACCESS cardholders may have up to 15 items charged out at any time. Materials
needed for more than one day may be placed on reserve; inquire at the delivery
desk. All library materials are for use within the designated area and may
NEVER leave the library premises.
You must return materials to the appropriate desk or staff member. Failure
to do so may result in the loss of privileges. You are responsible for all
materials charged out on your ACCESS card.
If you have questions or comments, please email rlaccess@nypl.org.
